PROFILE
Hello, I’m Ramsey Anderson. Currently, I’m residing in Texas as a SAG-Eligible, working actor. During my time in Los Angeles, I completed the entire Groundlings School professional core track while frequenting varied workshops. With my skills honed in drama courses and comedy clubs such as Second City of Chicago, I can be found auditioning for the next big hit as a proud member of the Landrum Arts family.
In my hometown of Texarkana, TX, I starred in numerous productions at five or so local theaters. My theatrical exploits started out as a hobby but gradually developed into a passionate career. I particularly have an affinity for improv comedy. In my spare time, I am constantly formulating stand-up and sketch concepts alongside narrative work. Hopefully, I’ll get a chance to implement all my quirky musings in a public scenario. If acting is my first priority, writing is an extremely close second. Though I am writing and practicing material frequently, I make time to enjoy a Stephen King novel or off-beat film.

Returning to this repetitively repetitive film series was redundantly enjoyable. The only difference in production that I noticed was it was extremely hot every day. Half of the movie’s budget was spent on keeping me from dying of dehydration. That’s not actually true, but the New Orleans weather was hauntingly unpredictable. Though the air was often dry and scorching, periodic lightning storms would force the crew indoors. Luckily, everyone survived.

HAPPY DEATH DAY
This was my first high-profile film, and I had a lot of fun making it. I walked around in a big cloth onesie while wearing a creepy baby mask which was worn much better by my friend, Rob Mello. On set in a booth of assorted baby goods, I proclaimed in my most whiney, passive voice that everyone should, “Get your school spirit on! 10% off with your student I.D.!” Later, you can hear my voice drift across the ether as Jessica Rothe comes to the stark realization that she’s stuck in a time loop.
AVENGERS OF JUSTICE: FARCE WARS
Being on the set of Avengers of Justice was a surreal experience. During filming days, I would strut around downtown Shreveport wearing a menacing, hockey mask and a rainbow afro with my friend Jevon Miller. A lot of people walking down the street would abruptly turn to retreat in the opposite direction. It was loads of fun working alongside Simon Rex in the spooky parking garage of a casino repurposed for cinematic villainy.
RED BLOODED - MARC CHERRY PILOT
Acting in a dramatic pilot with Reba McEntire was very exciting, even if I had to play the part of a trashy, back-woods criminal. I consider being knocked unconscious by Reba a career highlight. Oftentimes, I brag about this experience to friends, but sometimes I forget to specify that it was for a TV show. Thinking Reba walloped me in real-life might unsettle some diehard fans, so I’ll make sure to clarify in the future. There was a dynamic energy on the set of this project, and we even celebrated Reba’s birthday. She was turning 28 at the time… so she told me.
